I woke up at 6:30 and took the dogs on their morning potty break. I then secured everything inside and out. I got on the road around 8. I drove until I got to Ontario California where I stopped at a Burlington to use their restroom. While I was there I saw a pair of Levi's jeans for $20. I was tempted to buy them but they were a little long in the inseam, 34 inch and I actually wear a 32 inch so I passed. Back in the RT I fixed oats for breakfast. After breakfast I got back on the road and drove until I got to Palmdale. I parked at a thrift store and went inside to see if they had any decent jeans. I was so tickled to find a pair of the same exact jeans I had just passed on in Burlington. Yes they were still a little long in the inseam but for $9 I could live with that. I got back on the road and drove on towards Kingsburg. About 2 hours out it started raining pretty hard and there was a strong crosswind. I pulled in behind an 18 wheeler and followed him for several miles.

Once I got to Kingsburg I drove to Katy's Cafe, which Uncle Orman had suggested I try their swedish pancakes. I found a level place to park in the back of the parking lot and camped there for the night. It continued to rain as I cooked rice and fish for dinner. After dinner I took a shower. Later I changed the sheets on the bed and crawled in for the night.
